Prepare a focused contribution with meaning, examples, source context, and a clear question.
A useful contribution makes one piece of Kifuliiru knowledge easier for another person to understand. It might add a missing word, clarify a sense, supply a pronunciation example, explain cultural context, or correct an existing passage. You do not need to fill every gap in a topic to make a valuable contribution.
Start with the question your material answers. “What does this word mean in this sentence?” is more focused than “Here is everything I know about this subject.” Keep closely related examples together, but separate unrelated corrections so each can be discussed clearly.
Use the resource map to choose a topic. Read the dictionary, verbs and numbers, recordings, or culture guide for the details that matter to that kind of material.
Prepare these notes before using the contribution option available in the app. They are a writing aid, not a list of required interface fields.
| Part | What to write |
|---|---|
| Topic | The word, expression, recording, or subject |
| Original Kifuliiru | The exact form you want documented or clarified |
| Meaning | The sense or message you intend |
| Explanation language | The language used for your definition or translation |
| Example | A phrase, sentence, or situation that supports the explanation |
| Source context | Where the information comes from and why that matters |
| Proposed action | Add material, clarify a point, or correct a specific passage |
| Remaining uncertainty | What you do not yet know or want someone to verify |
The public number–noun reference includes umuundu muguma, meaning “one person.” A focused contribution note could be:
| Part | Prepared note |
|---|---|
| Topic | A noun used with the quantity one |
| Original expression | umuundu muguma |
| Meaning | one person |
| Explanation language | English |
| Source context | The public counting-nouns reference |
| Important distinction | This is a noun phrase, not a complete sentence |
| Remaining question | A fuller example would need its own context and review |
This example deliberately stops at the information supported by the reference. It does not guess a plural, a recording, or a new sentence. The point is to show how a small, well-identified contribution can remain useful without looking artificially complete.
Check the form, intended sense, and example together. If you attach audio, confirm that it matches the text. Remove unrelated material and identify any personal or cultural information that needs permission to share.
For an existing entry, retain the original passage as well as the proposed correction. Describe the difference in meaning or use. “This is wrong” leaves the reviewer guessing; a clear alternative with context makes the question actionable.
Read the outcome or confirmation offered by the platform and retain a copy of important material. Submission means you have proposed information; it does not by itself establish that the material has been reviewed or published everywhere.
If clarification is requested, respond to the particular question. You may be able to supply an example, explain a translation choice, or identify the source more precisely. It is also acceptable to say that a point remains uncertain.
Read review and corrections for that conversation, and community guidelines for how to participate respectfully.
