Planned dictionary and reading experience

Planned dictionary and reading experience

Understand the mobile project’s dictionary direction and prepare a useful word question today.

In development

This mobile app remains in development. Google Play is planned first, followed by the Apple App Store. No public store release date or download link is announced here.

Kifuliiru Mobile is intended to bring language resources together on a phone. Its project includes dictionary entry points involving Kifuliiru, English, French, and Kiswahili, along with writing and proverb areas. These describe the direction of the app, not confirmed coverage in a published release.

What a dictionary task involves

Begin with the exact word or expression and the meaning you want to understand. Identify whether you are looking for a brief translation, a definition, a phrase, or a fuller reading passage. Those needs can be related without being answered by one label.

When the public app becomes available, its guide should identify the actual search controls, language choices, and coverage offered. Until then, use the portal dictionary guide and public web resources for this task.

Read a word in context

Keep the whole sentence or phrase around an unfamiliar form. A translated word may identify one sense rather than every use. For a proverb, distinguish its wording, literal explanation, and meaning in the situation where it is used.

The existing counting-nouns reference shows why a noun and a quantity phrase should stay distinguishable. You can apply that reading method now without waiting for a mobile release.

Prepare a useful question

QuestionMakes the uncertain point specific

Do not treat a development preview’s sample entry as a complete published dictionary. Confirmed features and offline coverage will need their own release information.
