Compare supported decimal, exponent, and root examples without inventing new forms.
This practice reuses examples already explained in the detailed references. Work out the mathematical parts first, then read the language pattern. The aim is understanding rather than copying the final line alone.
Read 3,14 and 12,05 using comma notation. Identify the integer part and the fractional string in each. Which fractional string starts with zero?
For 3,14, the integer part is 3 and the fractional string is 14. The decimal reference gives Bushatu ne bikojoka ikumi na bina and explains its chunk reading.
For 12,05, the integer part is 12 and the fractional string is 05. The reference gives Ikumi na bubiri ne bikojoka ubusha, bitanu and explains the digit-by-digit reading for an initial zero.
Do not replace 12,05 with 12,5. The initial zero carries place-value information; the two inputs are different values.
For 2⁵, identify the base and exponent. Then compare the two readings supplied by the exponent reference.
The base is 2 and the exponent is 5. The mathematical value is 32. The documented active expression is Butanu bushoniri ku bubiri, and the passive expression is Bubiri bushonirwi kwohe no butanu.
The expression describes the power; naming its value alone is a different task. The active pattern places the exponent first, so preserve the reference’s explanation rather than assuming English word order.
For √25, identify the radicand, the implied index, and the value. Compare with the root reference.
The radicand is 25, the square-root index is 2, and the value is 5. The reference’s active expression is Bubiri bubwisiri makumi gabiri na butanu. Its alternative readings are explained on the root page; do not manufacture an alternative by rearranging words without that explanation.
Choose another example from a reference’s existing example bank. Record its notation, mathematical parts, documented reading, and the explanation that supports it. Keep your own variations labeled as practice.
Use the tools guide for an interactive comparison and notation questions when the input itself is unclear.
