Reading and content

Reading and content

Find articles, understand language coverage, and ask useful questions about passages.

Use Imyazi to explore available news articles and practise reading in context. Begin with the overview for the project’s purpose and its relationship to the planned mobile app.

Read the whole passage

Choose a category or search for an article, then open the result. Read the title with the body text and any author, source, or publication information supplied. A search excerpt is an entry point rather than the complete explanation of an event.

Language coverage can vary. If the same story appears in several languages, check that you are reading the corresponding version. If a version is missing, identify the article and language when asking about it.

Use news for language practice

Choose a short passage and explain its main idea in your own words. Note an unfamiliar expression together with its sentence. Return to the passage after reading a definition or asking a speaker for clarification.

Use language references for grammatical explanations and Academy for structured learning. News provides connected reading, with a different purpose from a lesson or dictionary entry.

Prepare a correction

Record the article address, passage, and whether the issue concerns facts, spelling, translation, or display. Include a proposed change and its basis where possible. Keep the original meaning visible so the question can be understood accurately.

Demo material and publication context

The checked public homepage labels a number of items Demo. Such material illustrates the product and should not be treated as independently verified news, app-store availability, audience counts, or a confirmed event. Preserve that label when discussing or sharing the example. Read the individual article’s publication context rather than relying on a breaking or featured presentation alone.

Use finding articles for navigation, languages and translations for coverage, and sharing and reading practice for personal notes and source links.
